Program Overview

If you or a family member is living with CF, and you have experienced a reduction in income as a result of the  COVID-19 economic shutdown, we are here to help. Miles for Cystic Fibrosis may be able to offer temporary financial relief to you and your family through assistance with paying for essential goods and services.

Please Note - the M4CF Critical Needs Initiative is currently suspended for lack of funds.  Please check back later.

Eligibility
To be eligible for assistance, you or a family member must be living with CF and meet the following criteria:
  1. You are an active client of a CF Care Center located in Georgia or you are a Georgia Resident working with the CF Foundation COMPASS Program, and you have received the M4CF Critical Needs Initiative application from your social worker, case manager, or another member of the healthcare team.
  2. You are experiencing a reduction in income as a result of the COVID-19 economic shutdown.

NOTE: All prospective applicants should make an attempt to first apply for other community and/or government based programs (e.g. unemployment benefits, school lunch replacement, mortgage forbearance) prior to submitting the M4CF Critical Needs Application.

Due to limited funding availability, Miles for Cystic Fibrosis may not be able to approve all grant requests. ​

Expense Types
Assistance is available for the following categories of expenses incurred since March 1, 2020:
  1. Food - from grocery stores

NOTE:  As a part of completing the application, you will be asked to submit a copy of the bill for which you are requesting assistance (unless your application is for groceries). Please do not submit your request without the attachment.
